ROLE SUMMARY

Topcoder is seeking an experienced and self-driven Presales Consultant to join our Strategic Sales team. The person will be responsible to orchestrate winning solutions to the deals, support Sales Team with proactive proposals & RFP responses, solution design & articulation, pricing, account intelligence and such other presales activities. We are looking for candidates who are self-driven, possess ability to network with external/ internal stakeholders and having hands on experience or exposure in solutioning Cloud, App Dev, Digital deals.

The individual will be expected to work with multiple teams within Topcoder to refine the solution offerings, develop community expertise with Topcoder Community team and Marketing collaterals with Topcoder Marketing team, interact with clients across multiple markets and industries, often playing Consultative Sales role.

This role will be fully remote with significant ownership, autonomy and responsibility.

You would be expected to drive opportunities, offering development and sale with little to no oversight so being self-driven and willing to work in an autonomous environment is a significant plus.

You would be measured on clear outcomes and would be provided all feasible support to deliver on those outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in building various outsourcing solutions (App Dev, Quality engg., ADM etc.) with a special focus on managed services, in response to RFP’s with inputs from service lines.
• Work with service lines to coordinate winning solutions for technology and COTS products-based RFP’s
• Coordinate across Wipro key stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Service Lines, Sales, Domain etc.) during a presales RFP life cycle.
• Manages the entire bid process by preparing and executing the bid plan
• Integrate / assemble the response as per inputs received and ensures that response gets submitted as per timeline.
• Build pricing/commercial models for deals and takes accountability for end-to-end pricing of the deal.
• Work in collaboration with the BFMs to determine the deal price and margins.
• Mentor other team members in presales

ROLE SUMMARY

As an Architect responsible for designing, prototyping and driving to deployment of Frameworks and Platform capabilities, you will be leading technical design discussions with product, marketing and engineering teams to take ideas from concepts to deployment. You will be building solutions for complex application processes, platform services, infrastructure integration and high performing SaaS system.This position can be located anywhere in the US and is primarily a remote work position that requires independent work and a high standard of communication and coordination with team members. You may be required to be available to work teams in India and Europe time zone.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Lead design and participate in build and deployment of shared framework and libraries for identity management, database access, instrumentation and request and response handling
• Modernizing and growing the Framework APIs, backend services
• Work within the Topcoder product team to provide technical advice to assist with prioritization and planning
• Architecting solutions for distributed applications with low latency, high throughput
• Participate in POC’s with applications and projects interested in Topcoder Platform and APIs
• Mentor team members in technology, architecture and delivery of new solutions
• Identify, investigate and evaluate new technologies, vendors and solution for Topcoder business
• Providing technical leadership and setting architectural direction for all the business services in the domain by bringing both technical vision and business objectives together
• Identify feature & process improvements that can be made to increase efficiency and product quality
• Be the change leader in continuously improving the technical prowess of the team

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 10-15 years software development
• Bachelor’s in computer science or related degree required. Masters preferred
• Be able to zoom in and out of technical details based on the audience
• In depth familiarity with distributed systems, scalable systems development
• Experience developing software systems in NodeJS, Java and scripting
• Experience in relational and noSQL DB – Postgres, Dynamo, MongoDB
• Expert in Caching techniques, state transition and messaging
• Experience in AWS cloud based deployment is a plus
• Expert in both development and quality assurance activities – CI/CD
• Experience working in Containers (Dockers) & frameworks
• In-depth understanding of web services and related standards like REST/JSON
• Should have worked in Agile environment and followed agile process (scrum/kanban)
